Meet Our Director
Alicia Berlin
Director, Camp Louise
Alicia Berlin was a homesick camper at Camp Louise in 1980 when her mother told her that she had to stay at camp and have a good time. It was at that moment that Alicia truly began her Camp Louise career, growing up through the Camp Louise leadership training program and eventually becoming a counselor, unit leader, and assistant director. After taking a summer off to have twin daughters, Alicia returned to Camp Louise in 2008 as the Director.
Alicia was raised in Randallstown, MD and attended University of Maryland, College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting. Subsequently, Alicia received her Master of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University. Alicia has 13 years of experience teaching elementary school children in Baltimore and Howard Counties. Most recently, Alicia was a gifted and talented resource teacher at Triadelphia Ridge Elementary School in Howard County.
Alicia met her husband, Neil, at Camp while they were both unit leaders. Alicia and Neil had twin daughters, Hannah and Marissa, in the summer of 2007. In the fall of 2008, their third daughter, Eliana, was born. During the camp off-season, the Berlins live in Owings Mills, MD and attend Beth El Congregation in Pikesville, MD.
