Camp Airy Packing Checklist
Camp Louise Packing Checklist
Use the enclosed clothing list as a guide.
Camp is a good place to wear old clothing that will be
outgrown by the time school reopens in the fall. You do not
need everything on the list. For example, if you have a sleeping
bag, then bring it. But don't buy one just for camp unless your
child plans on using it for other events.
We do ask that you not send expensive equipment or toys to
camp since we are not liable for loss or damage. Electronics
like Game Boys or iPods can easily be damaged or misplaced.
Flip-flops, clogs, “Heelys” (sneakers with built in roller skates)
and sandals without backs cannot be worn for any activity
around camp (we have had too many foot injuries as a result
of wearing such shoes).

Marking Clothing
In order to help eliminate the problem of lost and misplaced clothing, we recommend that all campers mark each item of clothing with his or her name. Use a good permanent marking pen or some other method which will not wash out or fall off.
As a convenience to you, we’ve arranged with the Best Name Tape Co. to provide either iron-on or sew-on name tapes at a very good price and varying quantities based on your needs. Prices do include shipping and handling. Name tapes are delivered in a timely manner. It is to your advantage to order your name tape labels as early as possible.
Visit Best Name Tape Co. to order labels.
Athletic Equipment
Camps Airy and Louise both have sufficient equipment for
activities offered. However, your son or daughter may prefer
to bring their own softball gloves, tennis racquets, tennis balls, etc. Be
sure that these items are clearly labeled with your child's
name.
If your camper is 12 or older and plans to do Skate Boarding or In Line
Skating at the Skate Park, Mountain Boarding or Mountain
Biking, they will be required to wear mandatory safety gear. Gear
includes Helmet, Elbow Guards, Wrist Guards and Knee Pads.
Skate Boarders can
bring their own skate board or use Camp Airy's Boards.
Personal Skates and Boards will be stored at the locked Skate
Park storage room. No Skating or Boarding or Biking is permitted without
wearing appropriate and approved safety equipment. Camp has
sufficient safety equipment for all participants.
Luggage
Foot lockers (no higher than 12 inches tall), duffel bags, suitcases, and other luggage should be brought to camp with your child. If you wish to ship anything in advance, please use either UPS or a similar service.

Laundry & Linens
PERSONAL LAUNDRY: Camp laundry will be done weekly. The weekly fee of three dollars for this service is included in the total price of the session. Any amount over this will be paid for by the camper from his or her camp bank account or by parents at checkout time. Although our laundry service staff is careful and experienced, the camps cannot take responsibility for lost or damaged clothing or other personal items. Again, proper marking is important.
BED LINENS: We furnish sheets, pillow cases, blankets and pillows. Some campers prefer to bring non-allergenic pillows and blankets. These are the camper’s responsibility. Towels and soap are not furnished.
IMPORTANT: Camps Airy and Louise cannot be responsible for the loss, or damage, of personal items. Do not send expensive cameras, electronic or similar equipment. You may want to check your homeowner’s insurance to see if losses at camp would be covered by an “off the premises” clause.
