ATTENTION PARENTS OF FIRST TIME CAMPERS

Since we’ve started our “New Camp Parent Meetings” several years ago, we’ve received nothing but “rave reviews” for these very informative and fun sessions. For “Parent’s Eyes Only,” these sessions are designed to answer all your questions, concerns and respond to your thoughts on sending your camper(s) to sleep away camp for the first time. Our panel of program staff, administrators, health center staff, counselors and “experienced” camp parents will discuss issues of “home missing,” health needs, “practicing” for camp, conversations to have with your campers before camp, discussing the first night, adjusting to camp, meals up at camp, getting along with bunkmates, and lots, lots more (meaning whatever you want to talk about!) It is an evening that is sure to get you into the famous “Airy/Louise State of Mind” - just like your camper.

When: Monday, May 12, 2008 - JCC Owings Mills 7:30 to 9:00pm
    Tuesday, May 13, 2008 - JCC Rockville 7:30 to 9:00pm

Details: We will be sending a detailed mailing and reservation slip in mid- April to parents of all campers. Keep an eye out, and the date clear, for this special event. We’re hoping it will offer insights, answer your questions and make this a fun summer for you and your camper.
