Arrival/Check-in

Plan to arrive for check in between 8:30 am and 12:00 noon

(Except for the August 3rd departure and arrival. Those campers should be picked up no later than 11:00 am. Those campers arriving August 3rd are to arrive after 1:00 pm)

Reception of Campers

Children cannot be admitted prior to the day, and time, they are scheduled to arrive at camp.

All campers must check in, make a camp bank deposit and be screened by the medical staff before they report to assigned bunks. Before parents leave, all medications must be left at the Health Center.

Parents are invited to meet the counselors and other staff members on the day campers arrive. After such meetings, parents should leave as soon as possible to facilitate the arrival of others and to allow the camping experience to begin.

I think I had a harder time having my daughter away. Thanks again for a great experience.

Camp Banking

All camper spending money must be deposited in the Camp Bank upon arrival. Campers may withdraw money during specified hours only. The average deposit recommended is $30.00 per week.

Enough money to cover any fees for anticipated optional trips should also be deposited at this time. Money to pay for materials used in extra projects or campteen will be deducted from this bank account as well.

Medical Screening

The health screenings conducted upon arrival at the camps are done mainly to detect contagious diseases that children might be bringing to camp. This is not a full-scale examination; we expect that a health check will be done within six months prior to arrival by your child’s physician. Please apprise our medical staff of any recent changes in your child’s health and leave any and all medications with them. Your child’s health is an important aspect of the camping experience; we want to be sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. Accordingly, please schedule your doctor’s exam in a timely fashion so camps have a complete and accurate picture of your child’s health. Please be certain to follow our strong recommendation to start checking your camper for head lice/nits well before his or her arrival at camp. This should be done in the same manner as it is done in the school system.

Pets

Do not bring pets to camp on arrival and departure days!
