Notes About Bunking
For some families bunking is "no big deal" and for others it is all that matters. Here's a bit of insight that goes into our bunking at camp. We will do our absolute best to bunk campers together within a six month range before and after their date of birth - a one year range in age is what we aim for, though this isn't always possible. In addition, we will also do our best to accommodate bunking requests provided the following criteria are met:
- NO MORE THAN TWO REQUESTS;
- Requests have to be RECIPROCAL;
- Campers must be close in age and grade (as noted above); and, of course,
- Campers are coming to camp the same session.
When possible, two and four weekers reciprocal requests are honored.

At Camps Airy and Louise, except for our very youngest campers and our oldest campers (our Trainees), we do not limit registration by age group during our open registration - we are limited by the total number of spaces at camp. You can be certain that we'll do our best to assure that all bunks are going to be within the same age range, but we can't assure everyone will be in the same "Unit." It just isn't possible. We ask that you trust us to do our best - but we are limited in number of beds per cabin and Unit. We will always do our best to assure that programming is age appropriate. We do not share bunking prior to your arrival at camp.
