Fee Structure

Q: What is now included as part of the enrollment fee for camp?

A: New this year, the overall fee includes in-camp activity expenses like arts & crafts supplies and paintball. Laundry services and the canteen also are now included in camp tuition. In addition, we are including other extras like Airy-Louise Days, our camp video, the bunk photo, camp T-shirt, and other selected trips. The larger out-of-camp trips like white water rafting, tubing, canoeing and kayaking still will require an additional fee.

Q: With more of the expenses included in the camp fees, why does my child need a bank account at camp?

A: Although most of the incidentals of camp are now included in the registration fee, your child will still want to have some money available for the drink machines and for spending money for trips out of camp.

Q: How much money should I leave in my child's bank account at camp?

A: We recommend leaving your child with $20 per week in his or her bank account, with an additional $40 to $60 if your daughter is attending the "Louise on Broadway" trip. For CITs, a bank account of $200 is suggested with an extra $40 to $60 for "Louise on Broadway." Please remember to bring cash or a check for the bank account deposit as no credit cards can be accepted. Any unused funds will be returned to you at check-out.

Q: How should I tip my child's counselors at the end of the session?

A: We realize that "tipping" can sometimes be an uncomfortable situation for both parents and counselors. With that in mind, this year we have established a "Counselor Fund" and welcome your participation. Donations to this fund will be evenly distributed among all counselor-level staff that will supervise your child on a day-to-day basis this summer. We also encourage recognizing the hard work of specific counselors by including a personal note or memo along with your contribution.
