SHAVUA TOV

Each week, the CAs (counselor assistants – rising 11^th graders) lead us in a beautiful Havdallah service. This week, they chose to focus on the theme of Women’s Empowerment.

It was beyond powerful hearing the voices of the entire camp singing the song Stand Up – complete with hand motions too!

We stand on the earth so we better, stand for her together
Stand up for our mother, stand up for each other
We were put in this paradise, it’s our job to guard her life
Stand up for our mother, stand up for each other

The CAs chose quotes to put into the service between the prayers. Some of the quotes included:

A strong woman knows she has strength enough for the journey, but a woman of strength knows it is in the journey where she will become strong.

We bring one another up when one is feeling down.
