Today we speak with Dr. Stephen Thompson who is an Associate Professor and Medical Director of the Division of Pediatric Neurology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. Known by his colleagues for his excellent clinical skills as well as his very accessible, friendly and warm manner he is a highly sought out consultant on both local and national matters. Named a Top Doctor by Baltimore Magazine he is a beloved physician by so many of his patients. And just as important to all of us at Camps Airy and Louise, where he is affectionately known as “Dr. Steve”, he serves as the long-time medical director, providing kind, thoughtful and compassionate care to all members of our camp community.

Dr. Steve shares some insights about the children at camp who present with acute and sometimes chronic medical and health conditions and how the medical staff can make a difference in helping a child enjoy a successful summer at camp.
