The Staff Experience

At Camps Airy & Louise, we encourage every camper to find their inner awesome—a process we know would not happen without guidance and support from an outstanding team of counselors, directors and educators.

We invest in the best staff members from across the globe including Europe, the UK and Israel, to make each summer stand out as an incredible experience for campers and staff alike. If you are college-age or older and looking to make a difference in the life of a child, then we may have a spot for you to share your skills and let your own inner awesome shine.
In addition to a summer’s worth of fun, Camps Airy & Louise offer salaries plus room and board for our staff. There is even the opportunity to earn added stipends for select certifications and skills. Check with your college or university to see if you could earn credit through an internship at Camps Airy & Louise as well!

Each staff member is carefully selected based on skills, prior experience and motivation for working with children. Every individual is interviewed, has references checked and is given a thorough background check in accordance with American Camp Association and Maryland Youth Camp Safety Act regulations.
Furthermore, our supervision ratio exceeds that set by the American Camp Association. We have a high rate of returning staff, which includes “homegrowns” (our term for staff members who also went to Camp Airy or Louise as campers).
