Camps Airy & Louise is now online! Check out the schedule below for all types of fun interactive summertime activities!

Parents electing to have their children participate in events will review the individual activity and take steps to make sure their homes are safe and camper(s) supervised as needed.  The Camps Airy & Louise Code of Conduct will be upheld in all activities, including avoiding using language that is insensitive or offensive toward another’s race, color, creed, national origin, religion, physical or mental disability, age, gender, marital status, or sexual orientation.

Middah of the Week

Patience/Savlanut/סבלנות

This week’s middah is Savlanut (patience). Patience is defined as the ability to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. As a value, patience is difficult for most of us during the best of times. It’s not easy being patient. This year, 2020, tested the patience of campers, counselors, staff and parents. It was so disappointing when we could not gather together at our summer home on the mountain, and many of us are still waiting to find out what school and college will look like this fall. This year has required a lot of patience. Though this year has been difficult, it has reminded and taught us so much about what is truly important: kindness, compassion, and community. Even though we haven’t been able to be together to eat pizza bagels and fries, or see our team win Airy Olympics or Louise Color Games, we are all finding unique ways to still create our camp community. If you haven’t had a chance to see the awesome camp videos, game shows, and virtual activities that Camp’s Airy and Louise are putting out each week, please check them out, they might just help us all be a little more patient until we get back on the mountain.
